# How to get a custom bot

{% hint style="info" %}
Custom bot is a paid feature - €5 quarterly (each 3 months). If you don't wish to pay for one, you can always [self-host it](/readme/custom-bot/self-hosting-the-bot.md).
{% endhint %}

A Custom Bot is a fully featured version of our bot that runs under your own Discord bot token. This means you can have your own instance of the bot, without the limitations imposed on our public bots. Custom Bots offer greater flexibility, reliability, and control over features, making them ideal for users who need a more tailored experience.

You can create a custom bot by heading over the [Dashboard](https://membercounter.app/dashboard), and clicking the plus icon on top of the bot/server selector.
